Bio

Hey Sailor! :)

Ahoy there!!

Being that navigating the high-seas of the interwebs has landed you here, of all places: I hope you enjoy your stay and are somewhat entertained. :)

I’ll start off this Bio, (which is really more of an Auto-Bio if you want to get technical about it,) by saying that I feel I have a stronger division of right-brain/left-brain wreaking havoc on my decision-making processes than does your average dual-hemisphere’d sentient life-form, (Ok, so I’m a Gemini.. so what?? ;) ) I’m pretty sure I’m an un-diagnosed Aspie, and I know for a fact that I’m an extreme introvert. Think Old-Ben Kenobi rescuing Luke from the Tusken Raiders in the Dune Sea on Tatooine, and you’re on the level with my hermit-status. :P

To give you an idea of where the divide lies in my psyche, consider the following:

“I am a classically trained composer and musician, with more than 17 years experience performing and writing music. In accordance with the centuries-proven method of generating the world’s greatest musicians: I went to live with my teacher, and the rigorous training included daily composition, musicianship, and music theory lessons from 1993 to 1999. I have had training in jazz, classical, rock, and blues guitar technique: performing at an advanced level; in addition to voice training for solo, group, and choir performance.”

… and then consider:

“I am a dedicated an innovative IT professional with sharp learning capabilities, and high adaptability to complex new environments. I am fluent in Perl, Python, sh/bash, PHP, CSS, SQL, Javascript & jQuery, and JSON, among other technologies. I have a keen interest in all things, especially science and language, and consider myself an amateur linguist. I currently live in Long Beach, CA where I telecommute as a senior-level *nix Systems Administrator and Perl Programmer for a Communications Company.”

So there you have it:
an almost-equal split. :)

I hope that this has given you a better idea of my prime motivators, or at least kept you occupied long enough to finish reading this crap. :D

As a reward for your instant loyalty: I shall direct you to the “Music” page for the actual entertainment, and I really do hope you enjoy.

Take care and thanks for reading! :)
(You can read, can’t you?)
